Hey L&C,

Nice computer! Any cooling problems since OCing?

Thanks,

Merrick

Not really much of an issue, Freeze every now and then on very few start ups. I think it has to do with power failure to RAM. I have to upgrade later to a 1,000watt system. I am going to get a HD ATI gfx card soon After that i will upgrade my case to a full ATX tower

EPIC FAILURE!

Nice!

Also have you looked at the latest high end Video cards? I'll link them just in case

I will eventually get water cool system but i want to upgrade the board and processor to a second gen i5

EPIC FAILURE!

I would just like to comment here that having had a water cooled computer- Make sure you do it properly otherwise it becomes a major PITA.

Personally I woud try and keep the pump below most of the components as it will be cooler there and better for centre of gravity (so you don't have a computer tip on you while you work) and also if it leaks it is less of a problem. Radiator I would try and keep external- it's cooler out of the enclosure. Then again, I'm no expert but make sure you do your research =P

awesome tips dude, its my first time to working on water cooling, ive been seeing some small kits for $50 and nice outstanding raditator with 65,000RMP cooling fan for and aditional $100. I want to make my own cylinder reservoir that will pop out from the back side of the sidewall. Ive seen some killer watercooling mods and my brain is itching to get my hands on those mods XD'

EPIC FAILURE!

Thanks, I have seen some very well done ones and they are some of the best number-crunchers around, just gotta watch they don't leak. I have heard that you should check them around once every month or so for leaks. Of course it, once again, depends on what exactly you buy and install.

I just asked my Dad what he thought and he suggests an external Radiator and Pump, just thought you might want that idea.

yeh from what i heard to run a clean pump test in a pan before placing it in the case  to look for any leaks that appear through some cracks. Along time back when water cooling was just the latest things to do in extreme modding they always had a crack in the plates head. :/ fraction caused by stress

EPIC FAILURE!

Ah the pink food dye test?

So I've been having a look around and I think some of this stuff looks alright. I personally wouldn't be filling it with normal tap water, I'd go with what the manufacturer says. (Doubt you wouldn't but just saying, my friend blew a $3000 computer by using aftermarket coolant)

Some of the reviews are interesting as well.

http://www.koolance.com/technical/cooling101/004.html (leaking is a rare occurence- BULLSHIT)

Wouldn't use this as an instruction manual, but raises some interesting points.

More material, this time from cnet

Hope this helps!

yep the pink water down dye test and wow this is cool, i like the cutoff and alert system, I have a friend from brazil who found water cooling for the RAM and nickle plated coupling with lazor etch icons would be cool, got to see if i can reach him and get a handle on the links

EPIC FAILURE!

Yeah it makes sense to cut power if the computer decides to get a tad toasty lol

Water cooled RAM??!! AWESOME! (Not sure what would warrant the use of it but still)

FANS!!!!! Lol... Aftermarket Heat Sinks as well.

Just a heads up, some fans make a lot of noise, if this is a concern.
